Three-day festival all about e-bikes

In addition to two race being decided, the Bosch E-MTB Challenge and the two-day elite race, all visitors can expect great entertainment during the festival: for three days, everything revolves around electric bikes and the question: What’s new? So the trends in the sector are waiting to be scrutinised and put through their paces at the festival site. Test loops in varying degrees of difficulty are set up for you to pedal on, so you can convince yourself of the latest achievements in technology. Therefore it doesn’t matter whether you want to get used to the e-bike first, or are already technically fit and want to hit the tough downhill passages – there is a suitable trail for every level of rider.
In addition, there is the possibility to explore the Flachau mountains on guided tours or to not only enjoy the unique scenery around the Tauern and Dachstein but also typical regional specialities on the Gourmet Tour.

Explore Flachau’s most beautiful spots by e-bike

If you get on your bike with the guides for the Gourmet Tour, you can not only experience the fantastic mountain scenery of Flachau, but also the typical Austrian delicacies and hospitality. The 25-kilometre tour over three to five hours takes in Flachau’s most beautiful spots and a total of five stops where you can feast to your heart’s content.
There are three different Discovery Tours to choose from, which can be completed in half a day or a whole day. But whether it’s the Tauernkarleiten (49 km, 1,350 m climb), Rossbrand (51 km, approx. 1,110 m climb) or Seekar tour (48 km, approx. 1,930 m climb), beautiful panoramas between the Dachstein and Tauern, rustic refreshment stops and exciting descents are always included. Of course there is also the possibility to embark on completely personalised tours with the certified guides and trainers, or to explore Flachau and its most beautiful aspects on your own.

BOSCH E-MTB Challenge and EBWT: the return of good times

The E-Bike World Tour (EBWT) also includes the BOSCH E-MTB Challenge, a race for all experienced e-mountain bikers. The five to six stages, peppered with uphill and downhill sections, cover around 25 kilometres and 750 metres difference in altitude in total. The “No Feet Zones” are a special challenge. You are not allowed to take your feet off the pedals in these, otherwise you will get penalty seconds. However, the Challenge is not only about time but also about orientation. The participants have to ride to different points using maps.

Another highlight of the Flachau E-Bike Festival 2022 is the E-Bike World Tour’s elite race, the “E-Tour of Salzburger Land”. The race series sends the world’s best e-bikers hundreds of kilometres through the mountain world of the Alps in races lasting several days at three tour stops in Austria, France and Switzerland. Flachau will kick off the exceptional format in 2022 and will demand everything from the top athletes with its challenging trails.
