The 2022 E-Bike World Tour kicked off in fine style with the Flachau E-Bike Festival drawing almost 700 e-bike enthusiasts from around Europe to the Austrian Alps for a weekend of e-biking bliss. The weather could not have been better for riding – balmy temperatures and long summer evenings confirmed Flachau’s growing reputation as the premier e-biking destination in the Austrian Alps. This inaugural edition of the Flachau E-Bike Festival was the first stop on the 2022 E-Bike World Tour, with the diverse festival programme catering to e-bike enthusiasts of every description: from e-bike tests and Gourmet Tours to adventure trails and races for riders of all fitness and skill levels.

Austria, France and Switzerland are on the schedule for the E-Bike World Tour (EBWT).

Verbier, Switzerland - December 01, 2021 - A well-roundet 2022 EBWT series will kick off in the Austrian resort of Flachau before heading to Tignes-Vall d'Isère (France) and Verbier (Switzerland).

 

Sublime landscapes and a tried and tested format: a festival with inclusive e-bike events for any rider, plus elite races at every stop of the series.

 

A festival for all…

In terms of the festival, there will be something for everyone. Children and adults, newbies and experts alike, not forgetting those simply keen to try out a new sport. E-bike tests, Discovery Routes, and the famous Rando Gourmande, which will delight pleasure seekers. Each stage of the EBWT welcomes a Bosch e-MTB Challenge event, an international series offering a distinctive and amateur-friendly challenge with two difficulty options.

And an elite race

Thanks to its unique format, the E-Bike World Tour is fast becoming known as the “constructors’ championship.” Leading brands use this competitive platform to test and demonstrate their bikes’ performance, just as the automobile industry uses the Dakar Rally. Forming part of the UCI E-MTB Cross-Country Marathon calendar, EBWT’s multi-day races include 3,000-5,000m of climbing and more than 100km distance per day in technical terrain.
